Holiday Shopping with NBC 10

by Village Insider on December 8, 2009

NBC’s “man around town” Tim Furlong dropped by the Village a couple of weeks ago. Check out his video which inspired me to come up with Tim’s top ten tips for holiday shopping:

  • Give yourself a “gift” and skip the mall, go to Peddler’s Village!!!!
  • Get yourself in the holiday spirit at Pine Wreath and Candle.
  • Wear comfy shoes
  • Check out all the decadently delicious homemade chocolates made by the “Willie Wonka of Peddler’s Village” (that would be our own Skip of Skip’s Candy Corner) where Tim entered the sacred, inner chocolate-making chamber and tasted some of the warm and gooey hand-dipped treats.)
  • Hang out in the back of Creative Inkling with Karen and Edie who will teach you how to create “the greatest holiday card ever all by yourself,” inspiring anchorwoman Aditi Roy to suggest that Peddler’s Village is indeed “a place where miracles can happen.”
  • Call Santa right away and tell him to shop for all sorts of kids on your list, from big to small, at the Village Toy & Doll Shoppe.
  • Wear comfy shoes.
  • Turn Tim loose in Turn Me Loose for all that cool pop stuff and Americana from his childhood.
  • Take a peek at “the haven for handy homeowners” at Knob’s n Knockers.
  • Totally find a way to get yourself to Peddler’s Village this holiday season….
