Peddler’s Village Annual Quilt Competition and Display

by Village Insider on January 3, 2010

From an homage to the “Deadliest Catch” television show to a tribute to “Yo Yo” the puppy made by “Yo Yo’s Ma,” you’ll be amazed at the diverse designs, creativity and intricate details of the quilts in the Peddler’s Village 23rd Annual Quilt Competition and Display. More than 50 of these handmade quilts competed for $1,500 in cash prizes in the categories of Traditional, Applique, Creative, Amish, Quilted Clothing, and Potluck. The free display opens in the Village Gazebo on Monday, January 11 and runs through Sunday, April 11. This year’s judges were Judy Roche of Doylestown, PA, a lecturer, collector and antique quilt historian, and Corinne Kramer of Washington Crossing, PA, a professional quilter. The display is open to the public during Village shopping hours.
